my weekend at timaru

On the weekend I went to Timaru to celebrate my dads birthday even though it was on Tuesday. On the first day,me and Jess went to auntie Diane's house while Mum and Dad looked around the farm. On the second day, we went to the farm and had cupcakes. After that, I played soccer with abbey and Lydia [they are two of my cousin's. The other cousin is Oliver] and played on the computer. There wasn't Internet, so we had to do 101 kids brainy games. There was this cool, but hard game called fat boy and the musical cookie. You have to copy the cookie's pattern to get each cookie. After the game, we tested dad's soda geyser. It was so cool. Also, we went to the hot springs. On the third day, we had a look round the whole farm [not only the house] and I had a ride on the farmer's motorbike. Finally, we went home. We had a superb time. So cool, I'd like to go back there any time!

We are making grass seed heads. Some are growing. Mine is growing, but it isn't much. We hope they will grow bigger soon. It is cool that we are learning about earth, and I hope everyone treats it carefully.

Dylan's Fruity Fruit Prints

Yesterday night we went to the Clink for an art exhibition. The whole class and some peoples mothers, fathers, and brothers and sisters came. The exhibition was of our fruit art. They were black and white prints. Mum and Dad thought mine was very good. Dad said to Miss Dippie that he thought mine was worth $12,000. I felt great about my art. My favourite part of the night was that Miss Dippie came too.
